OK, Michel is not a prisoner. He is a "National Security Problem".

Proposed alternate route to China if Vietnam does not allow Michel to traverse the length of their country.

The route would be via the Malay Penninsula to Malaysia, and the Phillipines to Japan. This requires an exceptional amount of over-water flight, but also make for a less political battle.

Message from Michel:

Again thank you for the support. It is a pity that things can be, in a silly way, so complicated. I am happy with the Spanish people here, as they are taking care of me.
Unhappy, because I would like meeting you all at Oshkosh this year...and with my Kitfox.

Now I am being called by a lot of reporters (EFE, Reuters,Spanish radio, and so). It is becoming an international event. I don' t know if it will help me or not.

Vietnam doesn't give an answer. I have been informed that they have decided it is a National Security problem, and also that they don' t allow me to get my passport and visa in. I am not prisoner, but I am not free. We don't know how things are going to develop, and I am a little bit afraid in that they might try to justify their position by all means.

Otherwise, everything is OK.

I have learned that it is easy to fly to Malasya. Maybe the next destination to get my KF safely home.

How long will it take? I don' t know.

Regards, Michel
