Introduction:
Madrid, Spain to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, USA. Over 16,000 miles! This
flight will be history-making. The Kitfox is a very lightweight
two place airplane weighing only 650 lbs., and is powered by a 80hp Rotax engine. To fly
this tiny aircraft across the great expanses of Europe, the Middle East, China, USSR, not
to mention the rugged mountains of Alaska, Canada, and the great plains of the United
States, is a monumental achievement that very few pilots have ever accomplished.
This 16,000+ mile flight requires meticulous planning, exceptional
piloting skills, and considerable resources. Michel would like you to follow along with
him in the planning process. And that's not all - during the flight itself, Michel will
update this web site by the use of laptop computers and satellite communication! You will
see actual photos of Michel's progress, and be updated with his daily experiences.
The flight has now concluded
successfully. Michel has accomplished his goal and all the sponsors should have
